Thanksgiving

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving Day Football. Annelisa was our team captain and Celia was the other team captain. I thought for sure that we would win, I mean all the good people were on our team, but somehow we lost by a touchdown. Oh well there is always next year! Fun Times!

Yes on Prop 8

Like many of those that are for traditional marriage, Doug & I have had the opportunity to walk the precincts to promote prop 8. Today Doug drove Celia & I around Paradise to drop off fliers on door steps. It was pouring rain, Cats and Dogs. By the time we were done we were absolutely soaked. It was a lot of fun. In this pic Celia & I are replacing a sign that was stolen from our parents home. Sad to say that a lot of signs have been stolen. We are just happy there are still many that believe in marriage between a man and a woman and are willing to stand up for it. Hopefully Tuesday it will pass.

Owen Singing

So we are staying with Ryan & Jenny for a few nights and we recorded their little Owen dancing & singing to Leo the Lion. This is so cute. He really gets into it. We showed it to him after we recorded it and now that is all he wants to see. It is so adorable.

Little Grand Canyon 1/2 Marathon

I ran my 3rd 1/2 marathon this last Friday in Eastern Utah. We rolled into town Friday evening and camped with Kate & Steve. Both Kate & I ran the 1/2. It was a harder run for me but I was able to beat my best time. This is the only pic I had of the race.

Kansas City

We spent a few nights in Kansas City before heading back to Utah. We stayed with Dave & Jean. It was fun hanging out with their family. The first night we were there we went to Liberty Jail. We also went to an Art Museum downtown. The grounds were so pretty. Some of these pics were of Kansas City Downtown. They weren't the best pics but it is all I have. We ate at the famous Arthur Bryants. This is Doug's favorite BBQ place. Kansas City is beautiful. They have rolling green hills and a lot of trees & meadows. They have a nice plaza downtown with a river walk.

Road Trip to Missouri

So we dropped the dogs off at Mom & Dad's and got on the road. Here are some pics of our travels out to Missouri. The one with Doug & I is in Feather River Canyon. The other two pics of the mountains are of the Rockies. I love the drive between Grand Junction and Denver. It is so pretty. The one with the snow is a picture of the Rockies on our way back on Sept 12th. Crazy Snow!

Branson

We just got back from a two week road trip. We dropped the dogs off at my parents in Cali and then set out for Missouri. We made a quick stop in Utah to watch the opening BYU game. Then off we were to Branson. We were able to spend a week with Doug's parents, Carol & Mick. We saw four of the Branson's shows (SIX, Presley's Country Show, The Grand Jubilee & the Ozarks IMAX). We also took a quick trip to Arkansas. I really wanted to be able to go to Arkansas since it was so close. We got a lot of the rain leftover from the hurricane that hit Louisiana. We came home one night from one of the shows and it had been raining and we found this little frog in the middle of the drive way. He was so cute I wanted to keep him but Doug just laughed so I let him go. I also saw my first fire fly in Branson. I saw these blinking lights in the air and it took me a second to realize what they were. It was an unexpected treat. We also went to this place called the Butterfly Palace. It had a ton of butterflies just flying around . They also had this mirror maze . The pic of Doug looking scary is when he came out of the maze and thought he was going to scare me. It didn't work, just made me laugh. One of the theaters we went to had the Presidential Podium set up. I know you are all thinking Doug was in the running for President, but unfortunately he isn't. But he does look good up there, maybe someday :)
